I got this to baseline test my son who I homeschool. He struggled really bad in Language arts this year so I wanted to make sure he was at least close to ready for 5th grade and I could work with him on everything he might be lacking. First, the practice pages don't give any more explanation than the tests do, which kinda makes them useless if all you're looking for is test like me. He did do some of the pages but of course again they were no different than the test really. There was at least one incorrect answer on one of the tests, my son chose the correct answer (I didn't catch it when grading because I just looked for the correct answers from the answer key, so my son pointed it out to me while we were reviewing the incorrect answers).

My children are all homeschooled and do not take regular tests. These were great for helping them prepare for the state required test. Get these not the other spectrum test prep. I did a search on the spectrum website to view the pages beforehand unsure what to buy, these were the ones to get.

Spectrum is a good, quality test prep book, but this new edition does not include social studies or science sections like the previous editions.

This is a great tool for any homeschool student. Perfect for gauging where your child excels or needs extra instruction.

This is a great test prep book. I used it with my fourth graders through out the year for skill building and test prep strategies in reading comprehension and math review. It was challenging.

I like these books. Using them for 3 years and my kid like working with them. She says that it's fun. It's usually difficult to make a kid to do some extra work but this book helps. It also helps to prepare her to tests, to grasp the ideas of taking a test because doing regular tasks is different from taking a test.

Great practice test for end of year testing. Also good for teachers to see how a student is progressing. Very easily reproducible. Great for regular or homeschool classes!

I like Spectrum Test Practice a lot. The lessons are interesting and my kids can do one lesson in 10-15 min. so they don't complain when I ask them to do some.
