About the Author
Dr. Lawrence Feingold is Associate Professor of Theology and Philosophy at Kenrick-Glennon Seminary in St. Louis. In 1999 he earned a doctorate in theology from the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross in Rome. He is the author of Faith Comes From What is Heard: An Introduction to Fundamental Theology, The Natural Desire to See God according to St. Thomas Aquinas and His Interpreters, and a three-volume series entitled The Mystery of Israel and the Church.

I had to purchase Feingold's text for a course I am taking on the Eucharist — in short, Feingold's text is accessible and deeply insightful. From the first few pages, the author manages to write in a way that is both engaging and yet intellectually challenging. The author encourages us to think beyond the obvious and to witness the Real Presence of Christ in the Eucharist. It's a superb text that I highly recommend.
Wonderful overview of the Church’s doctrine on the Eucharist, including the principles of metaphysics for understanding the authentic teaching of the Holy Roman Church.

Found my wife reading the book and it perked my interest. I read the first chapter and ended up going to mass the next day. A Thursday morning mass (might I add) because I wanted to receive the Eucharist so badly. An amazing work.
