This book is a fantastic treat, whether you're a nature lover or you just like elegant prose. It's readable in tidbits, thankfully, since Oliver always gives a reader many things to consider and doesn't waste words. I just bought a second book for a dear friend. It's that good.
Somehow this edition of Mary Oliver's poetry keeps calling me...This is the third copy I've ordered in two years, always thinking I don't have one available or at hand. Thank you Mary Oliver, for getting me through the writing of my dissertation with a book of prose and poetry that brings me back into the center of being and soothes the furrowed brow.
Mary Oliver merges poems and prose in this compact book. It is a unique combination and I like it a lot.
